   Akiri is an AI mentor for people working toward a learning goal, built on the principle that a tool should measure itself on what you can do without it.

   • Made capability rather than engagement the success metric — Akiri explains anything at any depth, but won’t hand over answers to work being assessed, enforced at the output layer.
   • Built the learning engine: study plans that rebuild themselves when a learner falls behind, spaced-repetition review scheduling, and concept-level mastery tracked from actual recall.
   • Shipped in five languages from day one, with an automated guard that fails the build when a user-facing string is missing from the catalogue.
   • Wrote the internal metrics console to report honestly by default — every rate prints its denominator, and an empty sample reads “no data” instead of 0%.
